“And the day came when the risk to remain tight in a bud was more painful than the risk it took to blossom.”

Working With Me

Starting therapy can feel intimidating—whether it’s your first time or your tenth. Trust is a tender thing for all of us, and if you’ve been hurt in the past, opening up can feel like a huge risk—especially with someone you don’t yet know. But when therapy is done well, it offers a kind of safety and trust many of us didn’t realize we were missing—until we finally feel it. That’s when we can exhale, soften, and allow real healing to begin.

Your Free 20 minute Phone Consultation

You may book your consultation call online by clicking here. Please be sure to leave a number I can reach you at. Once your consultation is confirmed, I'll send you a brief questionnaire that will help guide our conversation. When we speak, please give me a general idea about the struggles you are seeking help for. This will also give you a sense for what therapy will be like if we were to work together. This is a great opportunity to address any questions you may have. If it seems like a good fit, from there we can move forward and schedule an initial appointment.

Frequency of Sessions

Therapy appointments are once a week, especially in the beginning. Sessions may be more or less frequent down the road depending on the intensity and severity of your current needs, progress made on your goals, scheduling, and possibly other factors.

Our Initial Appointment

The first appointment is usually different from subsequent appointments. This is an opportunity for us to get to know each other and for me to learn more about you and many other areas of your life including your background, relationships, medical history, family history, past therapy experiences, and any spiritual or religious beliefs.

Probable Length of Therapy

How long will this take? This is tough to answer because it will depend on several factors including: the severity and complexity of the problems bringing you in, how recent problems developed, the quantity and quality of social support outside of therapy, and your motivation to engage in therapeutic activities inside and outside of therapy. As for my part, I am committed to helping you get the most of your time with me. A good therapy experience hinges on the balance of trusting the right timing to take certain actions while also engaging in the process with courage and commitment. If you have concerns regarding the length of therapy or if you have specific therapeutic goals, please discuss them with me and together we can strategize a plan to meet your needs.

What I ask of you

Therapy is a commitment. Yes, I’m here to provide a service—to support you with tools, insight, empathy, and guidance. I can help you grow in awareness and navigate the inner terrain of your healing. But your role is just as important: to show up fully, face the parts of yourself that keep you stuck, work through painful emotions, and take courageous steps toward meaningful change. I want to be clear—anyone can start therapy, but real transformation requires effort, honesty, and willingness. It won’t always be easy, but I will be here to help you tap into your courage, your voice, and your strength—so you can heal and step into the peace, joy, and wholeness you truly deserve.
